Our Staff & Board

Leah has served as Director and Lead Teacher for the Downstairs Circle since 2017. A former CNS parent and kindergarten teacher, she combines her teaching background with leadership training from her time in the military and service on nonprofit boards. Leah treasures CNS’s traditions and values while fostering a community where children, families, and staff can thrive. She especially loves children’s literature, making and fixing things, and lifelong learning.

Ann joined CNS in 2022 as Lead Teacher of Upstairs Circle. She holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is a certified nature-based educator. Ann is passionate about helping children learn through play, imagination, and their connection to the natural world. She especially enjoys guiding young learners in outdoor play and exploration.

Maya joined CNS as an Assistant Teacher in 2016 and brings over 12 years of teaching experience. She holds a CDA credential and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Maya loves working closely with children and families to support each child’s success. Her bright smile and warm presence make her a favorite among the children each day.

Teresa joined CNS as an Assistant Teacher in 2026. She first joined the CNS community as a parent and brings over a decade of teaching experience with her. Teresa is passionate about supporting young children in their development of self while also teaching what it means to be part of a community. She loves helping children develop their sense of numeracy as well as incorporating dance and music whenever she can.

Jillian joined CNS as an Assistant Teacher in 2023 after first becoming part of the community as a parent. Her time at CNS has grown into a deep love of learning, connection, and watching children grow. She enjoys encouraging curiosity, self-expression, and a joy for learning. In 2026, Jillian moved into the role of Administrative Coordinator, where she continues to be an active part of the CNS community and brings her love for the school to her work.
