Our Staff & Board

Leah has served as Director and Lead Teacher for the Downstairs Circle since 2017. A former CNS parent and kindergarten teacher, she combines her teaching background with leadership training from her time in the military and service on nonprofit boards. Leah treasures CNS’s traditions and values while fostering a community where children, families, and staff can thrive. She especially loves children’s literature, making and fixing things, and lifelong learning.

Ann joined CNS in 2022 as Lead Teacher of Upstairs Circle. She holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is a certified nature-based educator. Ann is passionate about helping children learn through play, imagination, and their connection to the natural world. She especially enjoys guiding young learners in outdoor play and exploration.

Maya joined CNS as an Assistant Teacher in 2016 and brings over 12 years of teaching experience. She holds a CDA credential and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Maya loves working closely with children and families to support each child’s success. Her bright smile and warm presence make her a favorite among the children each day.

Jillian became an Assistant Teacher at CNS in 2023 after first joining the community as a parent. Her experience as a stay-at-home mom inspired a love of learning and growth that she now shares with her students. With a background in art and design, Jillian brings creativity and imagination into the classroom, encouraging curiosity and self-expression.

Jess joined CNS in 2017 as Administrative Coordinator and is also a proud past parent of two CNS students. She brings more than 15 years of experience in technology and finance, with skills in project management and organizational support. Drawing on her time as a CNS Board member and dedicated co-op parent, Jess contributes enthusiasm and a deep commitment to the school community.
